OUR 3-DAY HOLIDAY ITINERARY FOR THE SOUTH WEST THIS SPRING & SUMMER

Spring is here, summer is just around the corner, and there’s no better time for a getaway to the beautiful South West. Think turquoise beaches, long winery lunches, family adventures, local shopping and sunset drinks by the coast. Here’s how we’d spend three days enjoying some of our favourite local spots.

Day 1: Beach Days & Coastal Sunsets

Start your morning with a coffee from Sora Café, then head to Point Picquet for a swim and a little time soaking up those beautiful turquoise waters.

Spend the afternoon wandering through Dunsborough’s local shops, discovering something special to take home or grabbing a few treats for your stay.

As the day winds down, grab some takeaway from Peace Pizza, Burgerton or one of the many takeaway options in Town and head to Sugarloaf Rock for the sunset. It’s one of our favourite spots to take in the rugged coastline and watch the sky put on a show.

Head back to your holiday home, pour a glass of local wine and enjoy a relaxed evening with your favourite people.

Day 2: Family Fun, Yallingup & A Long Lunch

For a little adventure, spend the morning at Yallingup Maze or let the kids burn off some energy at Monkey Business. If you’re after something outdoors, the nature playground at Yallingup Beach is another family favourite.

After a morning of exploring, settle in for a delicious lunch at Ilma Beach House and enjoy the laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Keep the afternoon slow with a beach stop at Eagle Bay, a wander around the local shops or some downtime back at your holiday home. After all, holidays are meant to be enjoyed at your own pace!

Day 3: Wine Country

No South West escape is complete without a little wine country adventure. Book a winery tour and spend the day discovering the region’s beautiful vineyards and cellar doors.

Some of our favourites to add to your list are Clairault Wines, Wise Wines, Amelia Park Wines and Marq Wines. For a relaxed afternoon, head to Marq Wines, where you can enjoy a glass of local wine alongside a delicious cheese platter — the perfect way to slow down and soak up the South West.

If you’re heading home towards Perth, make a stop at the Vasse Village Farmers Market to browse local produce and pick up a few goodies for the trip home.
